Grapefruit Basil Fizz
Utilizing Butchertown Soda Co.'s Tonic Water Chef Annie Pettry crafts a refreshing drink infused with grapefruit and mint. Perfect as is, try adding your favorite gin or rum and keep them coming!
Ingredients
1 Oz., Fresh Squeezed Grapefruit Juice
1 Oz., Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
1/2 Cup, Ice
5-6 Oz., Butchertown Soda Tonic
2 Leaves, Basil
1 Oz., Gum Syrup:
- 1 Cup, Sugar
- 1/2 Cup, Water
- Pinch Of Salt
Method
For The Gum Syrup:
1. Bring water, sugar + salt to a simmer
2. Once sugar dissolves, remove from the heat and let cool
To Finish:
1. Combine the grapefruit juice, lemon juice + gum syrup in a tall glass. Give a good stir to ensure the gum syrup doesn't stay at the bottom of the glass.
2. Fill the glass with ice + top with Butchertown Soda Tonic
3. Tear two leaves of basil into the glass
4. Stir well + enjoy
