Artisanal Market: W Westwood
Today we were excited to be a participant at the 2nd Annual Artisan Market at W Hotel: Westwood. Alongside great purveyors such as Naked Feast, Laura Ann's Jams, and Mezcal El Silencio we introduced Angelenos to our May: 2014 box featuring Chef Matthew Gaudet.
Despite the blistering LA heat, the event was a resounding success! We served guests a re-inspired Chicken "Larb" featuring Gindo's Spice Of Life Honey Habanero Pepper Sauce, The Gracious Gourmet Smoky Sherry-Onion Spread, and Rick's Picks Handy Corn Relish. Β Recipe Below:
The FareTrade Habanero Sherry Chicken "Larb"
1 Pound, Ground Chicken
2 Tablespoons, Sliced Shallot
2 Tablespoons, Finely Chopped Green Onion
1/4 Cup, Chopped Mint Leaves
1/4 Cup, Chopped Cilantro
3 Tablespoons, Lime Juice
2 Tablespoons, Gracious Gourmet Smokey Sherry-Onion Spread
2 Tablespoons, Gindo's Spice Of Life Honey Habanero Pepper Sauce
1 Tablespoon, Rick's Picks Handy Corn Relish
Mexican Crema, To Taste
Directions:
Cook the ground chicken with 2 tablespoons of the lime juice in a pan over moderate heat. Stir until done. Transfer cooked chicken into a medium mixing bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Taste and season as desired.
Plating:
Place bed of micro greens on base of plate. Top with chicken larb. Add dollop of Rick's Picks Handy Corn Relish and Mexican Crema.
